Well here is the link to
that story:
Thanks to Bo Sanchez for sharing this to us.

College Degree = Success, this is the most common misconception of all people. Although many would say that their success is because of their college degree I would say that it is all because of their skills and dedication on that field. For example, A successful entreprenuer wouldnt say that he became rich because he got a degree in the medical field, right? coz selling stuff is entirely irrelevant to caring people

with diseases. You dont study business in medicine, being an entreprenuer is solely due to your skills on dealing with people and convincing them to buy your product. Ok, I got sidetracked there a bit. Continue, many would end up not doing what they really wanted to do. Like for example, a student studies 4 years of chemistry in college because he wanted to make a substance that could make us breath underwater, but no! He ends up on some lowly high school teaching chemistry to his students and wasting the time he should have spent on researching for his dream(No offense meant for chemistry teachers). Many college graduates ends up taking on different jobs that is not related in their carreer and i would consider them unsuccessful.

Wait, why am I only saying the bad things. Well being a degree holder opens a lot of opportunities and a well-framed piece of paper on your wall for decoration. I admit, it gives us a chance to work for a job that pays well, well enough to get us surivive for the month and feed our family. But without dedication and a dream, we will continue to work for that job that pays us well and well, we're going to have a "well" life. But, take note that "well" is not equal to "good" and also "well" is not equal to "fulfilling our dreams"..not even close.

In the story, here comes a man that comes from a well-to-do family. They were well provided, eat well 3 times a day and living a "well" life. All throughout his school life he never showed an interest for school and he ends up goofin around in the bowling alley instead of class and dropped out. He then met one of his college professors there and the professor started teaching him the stock market. The stock maeket would have been too much for a college dropout but he tried nonetheless and got successful. And for 36 years, he built a company and earned millions for himself and now the college professor sits in the Board of Directors.

This is an inspiring story to those who havent got a chance to finish college or even start college. It just means that whichever path you are right now, whatever makes you happy, follow it! That is your success!Keep yourself happy and everything will fall into place.
-blueyonder

Top 10 Reasons why Students Drop Out of College

top ten reasons why students drop out of college

Students make it through High School alright but not always in college.
I shall be pointing out my top ten reasons why students drop out of college
based on my observations and experiences.
Why does it happen really?

1. Financial Difficulties: this is the most common reason why students drop out of college or dont even go to college at all. Tuition fee increases periodically and basic income still remains the same, in addition scholarship grants are not easily accessible.

2. Academic Immaturity: High school and college students have a different kind of targets or goal and sometimes High school doesnt really prepare you for whats to come in college. High school students only care about to pass while college students think about succeeding.

3. Emotional Unpreparedness: being a college student is not always easy, there are ups and downs. For some people, there are more downs than ups and the challenge starts there. Deadlines, reports, thesis, case studies, research, terror professors and so many things to juggle at once breaks those students who haven't got a good foundation before college.

4. Peer Un-pressure: college is a whole new world and also a whole lot of people to befriend with but some others arent that sociable enough to make it to the people's friend list and it makes them lonely and that means lesser motivations.

5. All fun, no study: college is definitely fun! It is the time when youngsters try new things, expand their horizons, go anywhere, everywhere and do some pretty crazy stuff to the point that studies are being neglected.

6. No proper guidance: unlike in high school where guiding students are the focus of the teachers, in college you are on your own because no one is always there to guide you.

7. Homesickness or "culture shock": many students dont come from the city where the college is, they come from a small town or a province which is more peaceful and less stressful than living in a city. Some people do not get used to the demands of living in a city.

8. Choosing the wrong course: being a senor in high school is sometimes still too early to choose your career. Many pick their courses out of hype and to be able to go to their friends in the same college and later on they realize they are on their own.

9. Shift of interest: students who find themselves doubting if they have chosen the right career is the first evidence of the shifting interest. They may find new interests mid-college which make them happier.

10. couldnt visualize "future" self: those who couldnt see themselves as successful people in the future get stuck in the present. they do things that benefit them in the present but not for their future. It makes them realize that college is useless.
-blueyonder
some of you might agree, some may not but these 10 are just are my observations i know there are more reasons out there but ill stick with these most common 10.

Citing those most common reasons why students drop out of college, i also have top ten reasons why i drop out of college...and its going to be in my next composition.

I'm FREE!!

I'M FREE!! I dont feel miserable, I dont feel left-out cause I believe in something powerful. What is it? I dont even know, i just believe that there is something good will happen always even if things don't work out as I expected it to be and it worked out for me these past few months of my "dropout" life and i am actually quite proud of it. I believe this is the start of fulfilling my true desires. I am not destined to work for others but to work for myself and that is what we all want, right? Most people will say "The road is not gonna be easy", well I'd say it already is! Im not rich or anything but I just believed it is. EASY! EASY! EASY! Wow! that's very easy to say! and say that everyday, you will actually make your life easy just like mine.

I am just starting my very first blog and I'm starting get the hang of it. In this blog, I am going to share everything I learned and achieved so far, the things I did and the things that I wouldn't do. Also some interesting things related to the subject. It made me happier deep inside as I keep thinking all the the things I could do while out of school. I can only see limitless possibilities ahead of me.

So now, Im gonna start blogging!
